Meet the team behind Wellcom Health. 

An Amsterdam team from healthcare, technology and social medicine works every day towards one goal: less admin and more attention for the patient.

From translation tool to platform.

In 2024, Thijs Rood, Fabian Pusceddu and Victor van der Kooij developed the first version of Wellcom. The idea came about in the lecture halls of medical school, close to clinical practice: there, the founders saw how important it is for patients to be able to communicate in their native language, and how much is lost when they can’t.

What began as a medical translation tool grew into a complete platform for communication between people, systems and AI. Today we build on it from Amsterdam, with a team that combines healthcare, technology (AI & data science) and social medicine, from doctors and developers to strategists.
